Not so long ago Europe faced the threat of extreme lft-wing terrorist groups. THE DOZIER CASE depicts actual events that took place in Italy in the early 1980s and were the beginning of the end of the infamous Red Brigade.

Members of the Marxist-Leninist organisation kidnap U.S. General Lee Dozier. Italian Police Officer Questore Masci is determined to solve this case as the last of his career, while the Americans set up their own unit, lead by Special Agent Goldstein. After 40 intense days they team up with soldiers from the NOCS unit and finally have the chance to bring down the terrorists and free Dozier.

Director Carlo Lizzani proves his talent for setting up suspense and excitement while keeping an eye on the details. Cleverly interweaving the parallel operations of the Italian police, U.S. forces, the Red Brigade and Dozier's wife, the film has all the thrills and excitement viewers demand from a high-tension kidnapping story.

The film stays as true to the actual events as possible while paying tribute to the professionalism and bravery of the Italian NOCS soldiers and the joint teams against terrorism.
