THREE FOR THE ROAD
Road movies make great comedies. Take a selection of characters thrown unwillingly together, put them in a pressure-cooker situation (such as a long car journey), mix, stir and shake and you have the perfect recipe for laughs as in THREE FOR THE ROAD!
Every family has its black sheep and in the case of U.S. senator Kitteredge it is his very wayward teenage daughter, Robin. When all methods failed to get the girl under control Kitteredge decides to give exile a try. He entrusts his aide, Paul, with the job of taking her to a boarding school way, way down south. Paul invites his friend T. S. to come along on what quickly turns into a very bumpy ride! Sure enough, the wild child takes every chance she gets to escape, leaving Paul (Charlie Sheen, showcasing an amazing sense of comedy after Oliver Stone’s “Platoon”) and T.S. (Alan Ruck) to go after her. Mishaps, mayhem and lost trousers ensue.
